Saints & Sinners

A saint is not a holy person who has no sins and faults, but merely a worldly person who confesses his sins and faults to God. Therefore, even if you meet someone like St. Peter, you will point a finger at him as a traitor who has abandoned his master. Or even if you meet someone like St. Paul, you will be reluctant to see him as a troubler who has quarreled with his friends and dumped his colleagues. Or even if you meet someone like St. John, you will ignore him as a babbler who repeats the same thing. This is because you don't see God who covers their sins and faults with your eyes. Therefore, don't look for their holiness in the world, but instead abide in the holy God yourself. Then you will see tears of regret from the traitor, tears of devotion from the troubler, and tears of love from the babbler. This is because you will know for yourself that you are the very traitor, the troubler, and the babbler.
