Darkness Outside

Unless you are poor, you can't hear the gospel even though it is near you. If you have heard the gospel, you will know that you are poor. Therefore, don't think that you are rich and have no need, for it will strip you naked and become your shame. Unless you are sick, you can't see recovery even though it is right before your eyes. If you have seen recovery, you will know that you are sick. Therefore, don't think that you are healthy and have no need, for it will topple you over and become your shame. Unless you are bound, you can't obtain salvation even though it is near you. If you have been saved, you will know that you are bound. Therefore, don't think that you are free and have no need, for it will bind you up and become your shame. You will never know all this until you are pushed out, cast out, and kicked out of the world and left alone in the darkness outside. This is why your Savior is waiting for you there in front of you.
