Sin & Death

The reason you sometimes fall into doubt, despair, and fear is because death is before you. However, you cannot escape from that death because it comes from the sin in you. Sin is the darkness that has fallen upon your heart, away from God who is light. In the deep darkness of that sin, there is death lurks like a snake, which you cannot do anything about. When you come back to God, the light drives out the darkness in you again. So do not try to escape from death, but just go to God and confess your sins. Then you will receive faith, hope, and love instead of doubt, despair, and fear. This is your salvation, from the darkness of sin and death to the light of righteousness and life. Wherever you are and whatever you do, pray like this now, “God, I am a sinner. Please have mercy on me.”
