Don't wave your lamp to make the room brighter. When you wave the lamp, it creates soot, which clouds the surroundings and casts shaky shadows, making the room darker instead. Similarly, don't vigorously shake your scent bottle to spread the perfume further. When you do so, the liquid overflows, contaminating the surrounding area, and the scent becomes overpowering and unpleasant. Light shines brighter when left undisturbed, and scents are more fragrant when they gently diffuse. That's why light and scent are always together.
