The Cross and the Resurrection are not just one special event in world history, but only one event that includes all world and history. Thus, the Cross and the Resurrection are all things, in the history of the world. In it is salvation and judgment, and life and destruction. Look at yourself before you look at the world and history. The salvation of the Cross is yours, and also the life of the Resurrection is yours. Nothing else can replace you. Remember, knowing the Cross and the Resurrection is knowing yourself.
